Capture is only the beginning
ARGUS combines stereo-camera recording with session metadata, GPS, annotations and export. The platform was co-developed with Youssef I. Mohammed as part of the AUC research work under Prof. Yasser Gadallah.
Separate platform and dataset rates
ARGUS runs at 30 Hz and has captured over 50 hours of recordings. EUPB uses a 15 Hz capture configuration. These are different claims about different layers of the research workflow.
Keep context with the frames
An Egypt-specific event taxonomy, location tagging and economic-activity tagging help preserve the context surrounding recordings. SQLite stores structured records; export paths include CSV, JSON and GeoJSON.
Research in progress
The acquisition platform, EUPB dataset and pedestrian crossing-prediction pipeline form three arms of one research role. Publication links will be added when public versions are available.
